Alpha Gamma Delta

philanthropy

Did you know that 8% of the United States' population is affected by diabetes? This is why it is important that Alpha Gam recognizes diabetes research as our philanthropy. We have partnered with the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) to bring aid to the thousands of children and teens affected by this chronic disease. Alpha Gam hosts several events throughout the year that aid to this cause. Our biggest event, Wing Jam, is held in the spring semester every year. Wing Jam is a campus wide talent show where students can vote on their favorite performance using dollar bills. Students can also come to eat good food and enjoy the fun atmosphere. Wing Jam is one of the most anticipated philanthropic events in Auburn by the student body. This past year Alpha Gam raised over $8,000 for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation during that one night! This is only one way Alpha Gam advocates for diabetes! Throughout the year, Alpha Gam has visited diabetic patients and brought attention to our philanthropy through the awareness that we continue to raise on Auburn's campus.

Alpha Gam also hosts an annual Project Uplift Valentine's Day Party in the month of February. Project Uplift is a campus organization that partners Auburn students with underprivileged children.
